Chill Vibes Riso Print

Chill Vibes Riso Print

This 3-color Risograph print in light lime, fluorescent pink, and black was originally designed for a special edition of California Sunday Magazine. If you were lucky enough to snag one of the original foil stamped prints—great! If not, here is your opportunity to pick up (in my opinion) and even cooler version with a fun retro look thanks to the textures and poppy colors of risography. The photos don't quite capture how fun, bright, and saturated the colors are in real life. This art is also available as an enamel pin!

Framing Instructions

Nothing beats custom framing, but if you're looking for an economical option for standard-sized frames I highly recommend Opposite Wall’s natural oak frames. To best protect your print from sun damage, I recommend replacing the plexi with UV plexi or glass.

I’m also a fan of Well Made Co. oak magnetic hangers. I tested a lot of magnetic hanging options and they were by far the best quality. Magnetic hangers are great for large or odd-sized prints.

  • Sketch

Every piece of art begins as a sketch, exploring different layouts and styles. These days I do most of my sketches on an iPad in Procreate.

  • Final Art

The final vector artwork is drafted point by point in Adobe Illustrator. I love getting lost in the details and spending hours perfecting curves.

  • Risograph!

Color separations are made, masters are burned, and the final artwork is printed one color at a time on my SF5130 Risograph duplicator.

Printed on my Riso!

All of my risograph prints are created on my SF5130 Risograph in my Oakland office. I am in love with this machine and am addicted to accumulating new color drums for it!
